Campus Visited by the Hong Kong Institute of Education Students

Twelve students from our partner school, the Hong Kong Institute of Education, visited OKU from Monday, May 31 to Thursday, June 3. This was a part of their student project that included surveys on the current reality of Japanese education.
On Tuesday, June 1, in the OKU's English lecture series "Liberal Arts and Science in Japan," the visiting students made a presentation for the OKU students regarding the history, culture and society of Hong Kong. After their presentation, we divided into small groups and had discussions relating to national identity.
On Wednesday, June 2, they visited our affiliated kindergarten, as well as elementary, junior high and high schools in Hirano to observe their classes, and exchanged views with the school instructors.
Through their visit, the Hong Kong Institute of Education students deepened their exchange with the OKU students, and gained better understanding on Japanese education system, society and culture.
