Short-Term Training: Afghanistan Teacher Training Support Project - International Contribution through Education
For about a month, from January 6 to February 10, 2011, we welcomed two faculty members Mr. Abdul Khalil Sorush (specialized in physics) and Mr. Nooria Raqib (specialized in chemistry) of Kabul Education University (Afghanistan), one of our partner schools. Under the research guidance of Professor Hiroyasu Nakata (physics) and Associate Professor Kouji Kubono (chemistry) of Natural Sciences, science teacher training was carried out, with the coordination by the Internationals Center.
The trainees joined the JICA training “Improvement of Lesson Evaluation in Science for English-speaking Sub-Saharan African Countries”, which began at our university during their training period,
and participated in the lectures and classroom observation in elementary schools. Close to the end of their training, a report session was held, and the trainees presented what they learned from the training, as well as what they would bring back as their feedback to Kabul Education University.
